The Story

VAN HISE was born from a sensibility and a journey between two cities.

After a decade dedicated to graphic design in her native New York, Carrie Van Hise settled in Barcelona in 2001, drawn by the Mediterranean light and the city's rich culture. Since then she has developed international projects involving visual identity, wallpaper collections, art direction and photography.

In 2014 she assumed the creative direction of the historic fashion house Pertegaz, a period that would mark a new chapter in her visual language. Six years later, she founded her own studio: a space where disciplines, textures, and personal references converge.

VAN HISE represents the natural evolution of her career: a coherent visual proposal with a clear aesthetic and personal approach. The pieces combine design, chromatic sensitivity, and functional versatility translating her vision into timeless creations.

The Art of Silk

A VAN HISE is more than a scarf — it’s a gesture, an atmosphere, a story between two worlds. Silk becomes a canvas where the light and colors of the Mediterranean meet the bold lines of New York.

Each piece is slowly crafted in the Mediterranean using 100% natural Italian silk twill, hand-finished with care, honoring the rhythm of the process and celebrating the art of simplicity.

The Art of Gifting

Each VAN HISE scarf is individually wrapped by hand in our Barcelona studio, with the same care that goes into its design. Our signature kraft tube and branded tissue paper create a distinctive presentation — inspired by the traditional cylinders used to carry architectural drawings and art prints.

If your order is a gift, we’ll gladly include a personal note. Just email us your message after checkout and we will include a handwritten card.
